The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) has recently unveiled a new online public access search system. It was designed to be “more Google-like” and user-friendly. (That seems to be what everyone wants these days – can’t blame people for wanting things simple!)
Check out the NARA blog entry and YouTube video about it for more information. Or just go there and play around.
Try searching for “We can do it” — the famous poster comes right up. Or, search for “Wright Brothers” — you can watch a video of a 1909 flight.
Keep in mind, even now, not everything is available for instant online access.
