  • Provide local history reference service in person, by mail/email, and by phone.
  • Arrange and describe archival collections and address related preservation issues.

  • Repair and preserve historical materials using safe, archival procedures.
  • Instruct patrons in the use of local history and genealogical resources, including developing and leading programs.

  • Provided local history and genealogy reference service in person, by mail/email, and by phone.
  • Project: Edited and proofed indices of recently digitized vital records dockets, using CONTENTdm. (View GCPL digital collections.)
  • Checked in new books; updated obituary index files; edited and proofed new indices of books.
  • Project: Designed, created, and implemented a Microsoft Access database to track queries, responses, and billing.
  • Project: Created a mashup using Google Maps to mark the locations of cemeteries throughout the county (view map).
